Thanks Joe for including Susannah McCorkle singing "The Waters of March" on your current podcast I originally heard her singing this song on a compilation CD. I loved her voice and the song so much I did some research via Google and learned of her untimely demise. I bought three of her CDs from Amazon and enjoy all of them. I sent the "Most Requested" to a friend in the UK. He is a Professor Emeritus in Humanities and Fine Arts at Umass in the States. I knew he had a little Portuguese so I thought he'd be interested. He hasn't stopped playing it since since he got it. He emailed me to say just how many buttons I pressed with the song. When he was student he lived in Brazil for a year and learnt his Portuguese by listening to songs on the radio.

Keep up the great work with your podcasts Joe. I look forward to them every month.

Emma here, I would love to hear more of that song if it was possible. Susannah has an incredible voice with a clear tone and unique character. I have never purchased music online before but I think this might be my first, thank you Rodger for making us aware of this artist.

    Hi Emma,
I bought 3 Cds of Susannah McCorkle from Amazon.com. It's not hard and their credit card procedure is pretty foolproof.
If you feel a bit worried about using your credit card online, you could get a debit card and only keep enough cash in it to cover expenses. However, that said, I've been buying things on line for over five years with no problems.
The three Cds on Susannah I bought are
    1. " Most requested Songs" (This has the "Waters of March" on it)
    2." I'll take Romance"
    3. From Broken Hearts to Blue Skies"
    I can recommend them all
I'm listening to some tracks as I type. Do a google search on Susannah McCorkle for loads of information on her and her untimely demise,
    Regards,
    Rodger

Well there are lots of things out there that cheese me off too. Such as people who say. "There is nothing worse" because there is always someone or something worse than what they whinge about. Do you not agree?

Well "...there's nothing worse..." is simply a figure of speech, not usually meant to be taken literally.

I could say there's nothing worse than a critique from an anonymous visitor.

This is a funny episode, I am sure Joe had his tongue in his cheek, although all of those things would cheese me off too, especially those inconsiderate people leaning back in their seats on the plane.

I loved the Pulp Fiction sound byte and the subtle editing out of the cuss words. Uma is my favorite actress and what can I say about John Travolta?

I also like how easy it was to come back and edit my comments and include a link to the International Movie Data Base page on Pulp Fiction.

Hi Joe and Lynette - congrats on being able to keep the podcasts coming with such regularity! I am full of admiration and not a little green-eyed. There's obviously a lot of time put into the project as all those great little snippets of music etc have to be gathered and edited etc etc. I think Cheesed Off, far from being negative, could become a whole podcast site in its own right.
